About
The OverSite mission is simple. Our goal is to save our clients time & money and avoid the frustration that often comes along with renovation and construction projects. We are dedicated to the highest level of renovation craftsmanship and our network of partners share our same values.
We offer commercial & residential construction consulting & project management services. Our related service offerings include architectural design and engineering services, which enable us to help you create the perfect design for your new home, addition or renovation. We have access to 3D and CAD design services, so you can visualize your project long before it's complete.
In addition, our team specializes in home interior design services, so once your new home, addition or home improvement is complete, our experienced and very talented interior designers can get to work transforming your house into a beautiful home that you'll enjoy for many years to come.
You can retain a qualified and competent architect and builder to start you on your path to building a home, but at some point in the process you will ask yourself “who is looking out for my interest”?
This is where a residential construction consultant comes in to play, they can help you with a lot of the questions that you don’t even know or understand yet.
Why should I hire a Construction Consultant?
When deciding whether to hire a Construction Consultant, here are some points that you should consider:
Architect/Designer
Builder/Contractor
Owner
These are only a small sample of some of the things that you should be worrying about when you are planning to build or renovate your home.
Our consulting team is led by Joseph P. McPoyle. Joe and his consulting team have over 2 decades of commercial and residential construction experience and they know how to keep projects on timeline and on budget.

Why should I hire a Construction Consultant?
When deciding whether to hire a Construction Consultant, here are some points that you should consider:
Architect/Designer
- What is the difference between an architect and a designer? Who should you be retaining? Why should you should be retaining them?
- Are they designing what you want - or are they imposing their own styles on your drawings?
- Have they asked you what your budget for the entire project is? Do you believe that they are making an effort to design to that budget?
Builder/Contractor
- Do you understand the contract they are presenting you? Is it clear what you are receiving and what the scope of their work will be?
- Does this vendor have the appropriate insurance, workers compensation, etc.? Do you know how to check that the builder has these insurances, and to check that they have the right level of coverage for your home project?
- How are you planning to check their quality of work? Do you understand what you are looking at? What is the correct way - what is quality versus just meeting building codes?
Owner
- Will you be able to make the 1000’s of small and large decisions that are required by you to have a custom home built?
- Some of those decisions will be on systems that are vital to the performance of your new or updated home such as HVAC, electrical, structured wiring, waterproofing, well and septic.
- How will you know if you are being “scammed” by all the people involved in your renovation or home build?
These are only a small sample of some of the things that you should be worrying about when you are planning to build or renovate your home.
